When Bob and Dorothy “Do” Haines attended Miami University in the midst of the Great Depression, there was no student center where they could stop for a quick bite or to meet up with friends.

When Mike Champa ’05 and Katie Freking Champa ’05 stood at the front of their wedding reception in October 2010, they wanted to make sure their guests understood why they had made the trek to Oxford, Ohio.

A $350,000 pledge from Sue Henry '73 and Carter Phillips has named the student activities suite within Miami University's new Armstrong Student Center.
