MIAMI Women Giving Circle

The MIAMI Women Giving Circle is a collective giving effort that allows participants to combine resources with other members and make a greater impact on the Miami community. The collective power of each member’s annual $1,000 gift creates a large pool of money that funds multiple, vital projects.

Each member of the Giving Circle shares in the decision of how the money is distributed through an annual grant application and voting cycle.

The Power of Collective Giving

The Giving Circle is a collective giving effort where each participant contributes $1,000. Contributions are combined to create an annual grant pool which is able to fund significant projects submitted by students, staff, and faculty, such as Opening Minds through Art (pictured), an intergenerational art program connecting Miami students with people with dementia. Grant recipients are selected by a vote of all Giving Circle members. Together, Giving Circle members have awarded more than $600,000 in grants.

  • Voting rights to determine where the Giving Circle money goes.
  • Special access to campus events, faculty, and programs.
  • Networking opportunities.
